Yeah, I didn't even bother finishing it. The swinging was fun for a while, but that game got old in a hurry.
Two reasons.
a.) Everything but the web-slinging sucked.
b.) The god damned thing froze on me every 15 minutes.
So I used the $31 credit to get ESPN NFL 2K5 for the Xbox, yippee!

i assume its the Xbox version you had? weird that it froze - sucks that they only gave you 31 -- but i guess thats decent for a trade in -- i havent tired of mine yet -- almost every night, but more likely every other night, i flip it on and swing around a bit -- finished everything else a while ago -- but now i just go swinging, or stop to help the occasional person in need
of course, i see it getting boring eventually, but for now, ill keep it...
then again, i can also see that trade in rate dropping significantly as more and more people begin to trade theirs in... [img]frown.gif[/img]
I never understood buying shit then trading it in/selling it.....
Anyway, I'd buy that game JUST for the swinging alone. It's too much fun.
I beat the story bit when I rented it, but I'm STILL buying a copy for the swinging, and I'll probably play the story over again.
Here's what pissed me off.
Beat Doc Ock in the bank. Go swinging. Jump down to help someone. Game freezes in mid-jump.
Reboot.
Realize you didn't save after beating Ock. Do it again. Save. Jump down to help someone. Game freezes in mid-jump. Shit.
Reboot.
Say fuck the idiot who needs help, swing out to the Statue of Liberty, fuck around for a few minutes, ride a helicopter back to NY, jump onto the street, game freezes in mid-jump.
Take game out, say "fuck" a few times, head to Gamestop. Problem solved.
That sucks balls........it didn't freeze once when I played it. The video didn't even skip or jump, not even for a second.

That sounds like a bad copy or your system is starting to fuck up. Either way, good trade, Spidey 2 isn't that great. I love buying and selling games, I've traded more games in than I have kept. I need a game to have some SERIOUS replay value for me to keep it. Even then, it wears off...trading my Soul Calibur 2 the second the GF doesn't notice (she claims she still plays it sometimes..pfft..)
Its obviously a problem with either your X-Box or your disc. either way I can see how the game can get boring for a non spidey nut like myself. But once I upgraded everything the swinging becomes so much more fun as does the fights.
